Peter Mehlek, born in Syracuse, New York, (the real Upstate NY), is a 28-year-old graphic designer who dreams of social equity and justice, free healthcare, and longer fall seasons. Since graduating from the State University of New York College at Oswego in 2017, his work primarily consists of digital illustration, typography, poster design and photography.
Peter believes in living authentically and using one's creativity to aid in personal growth. His aptitude in sarcasm and dark humor goes hand-in-hand with his quick wit and blunt demeanor. Not everyone always understands this niche sense of humor, but that doesn't stop him from expressing his ideas. Peter is a mental health advocate both in his personal and professional life. Mental well-being is vital and advocating for those in need is part of Peter's mission in life.
Peter is inspired by the likes of Saul Bass, Eric Carle, Keith Haring and so many others. He cherishes his periods of solitude, especially in nature, from which he draws much of his inspiration and comfort. In his free time, Peter enjoys mindlessly scrolling through social media, (gathering further inspiration), listening to music, playing video games and spending time with a small circle of close friends. Peter is a true Taurus.
